It's that time of the year again and romance is in the air this Valentine's Day in Denver. Denver is a wonderful, romantic city to spend Valentine's Day and there are many Valentines Day events that Denver has to offer.
As part of its Valentines Day celebration, the Denver Library will be hosting its 5th Annual “Anti-Valentine’s Day” party on Saturday, the 13th of February 2016 at 1:00 PM and will take place at the Denver Library. The Denver Public Library is looking for five engaged couples to participate in a free wedding public ceremony at the Denver Central Library and will be officiated by Denver's Burlesque Queen, Vivienne VaVoom.
According to Chris Loffelmacher, Special Event Coordinator at Denver Public Library, they have been throwing outrageous parties in mock disdain of Valentines Day for years. This year is slightly different opportunity for couples who are ready to tie the knot on Valentine's Day. It’s a great opportunity for a fun and cost-effective wedding in one of Denver's most iconic buildings.
The library will provide the decorated room, cake, the gifts for each couple and, of course, the ceremony all for free. Couples who are interested to renew their vows and participate in the wedding ceremony should submit a brief explanation why they would like to be included and a photo of the couple as well. Interested parties may send their wedding application information to cloffel@denverlibrary.org.
